Santa's "Pay it Forward" Trading Post
The Trading Post is now closed for 2008. Be sure to get registered in October 2009 to list your items and trade things for free with others!
We offer this in order to help people in the community be able to provide gifts for their loved ones. The post is run strickly on the trust system. If we find that people are taking advantage of it or abusing it, we will be forced to discontinue it.
Please understand that this is run by a team of volunteers. We will try our best to list your items within 24 hours but it may take longer, depending on the volume of requests we receive.
*We have had people ask if they can donate things or donate cash but not participate on the trading post..... YES! There a few different ways to do that.
1) Give your items to a friend and let them post them and participate.
2) Donate our items to a local agency that provides a Christmas Outreach Program.
3) Make a cash donation for the Christmas Outreach Program at Guidance Ministries: Here
Santa's Pantry works with local law enforcement agencies
*Please Read* - Terms, Conditions and Information:
- Santa's Trading Post will only be accepting items from October 1, 2009 until October 31, 2009. Trading will take place only from November 1st until November 30th. Registration is from October 1st until October 31st.
- * * We will not accept the following items: Weapons of any sort including guns, knives, swords, etc. No adult related materials, under garments or clothing with questionable sayings or logos. Santa's Pantry has the right to refuse any item.
- You must register to participate. It is free to register. Click here to register now
- Items on Santa's Trading Post can not be bought with cash. They must be traded with "Santa Bucks". In other words, you must give something (Pay it Forward) in order to participate.
- "Santa Bucks" (credit) are accumlated by placing items on Santa's Trading Post
- "Santa Bucks"(credit) are determined by the item that you place on the Trading Post. The Board of Directors at Santa's Pantry will determine the value of the item by referring to the going rate on Ebay
- You are responsible for providing pictures of the item to Santa's Pantry. All items must have pictures.
- All items placed on the Trading Post must be in good condition. Look at it as "Would you give this item as a gift yourself?"
- You may also place services on the Trading Post. For example: A month of free guitar lessons, swim lessons, flute lessons, etc...
- New items may be placed on the Trading Post. If you have a small business and want to place an item on the Trading Post, we will add a link to your website (or contact info) to inform people where they can actually purchase (with cash) this item if they desire.
- We would love to see homemade items and crafts posted
- After you have listed your items and accumlated Santa Bucks, then you can "trade". Simply click on the link under the item and send an email to Santa's Pantry with the item number that you are interested in. Then Santa's Pantry will contact both the person interested in the item and the one that placed it on the Trading Post and give each the others contact information.
- It is your responsiblity to make arrangements to get the item. Santa's Pantry will not store the items. Arrangements will be made between the two parties to get the item
- Santa's Pantry will record the amount of "Santa Bucks" that individuals have and determine if enough "Santa Bucks" have been accumulated to get the item they desire. Basically, the more items you place on the Trading Post, the more "Santa Bucks" you receive, the more items you will be able to get
- Items will remain on the Trading Post until Santa's Pantry receives notification that the item has been picked up
- If someone has contacted Santa's Pantry about an item and arrangements are pending for them to get the item, a Pending will show beside the item.
- By showing interest in an item you are not obligated to take the item. You have the choice when you see the item if it is something that you want
- Remember - - Money is not good at Santa's Trading Post. You must give something (Pay it Forward) to be able to participate
